Man Wanted For Stealing From Suffolk Store

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Suffolk County Police Seventh Squad detectives are seeking the public’s assistance in attempting to locate a man who allegedly stole from a Long Island store before taking off in a pickup truck.

Police released surveillance photos of a suspect and his truck after he allegedly stole from Home Depot on William Floyd Parkway in Shirley at approximately 9:40 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 21.

According to police, the suspect walked into the store, picked up a hot water heater and patio door kit, wheeling them out of Home Depot without paying.

At the time of the theft, the suspect was wearing a “New York” t-shirt, brown work boots and a baseball hat. He proceeded to leave the scene in a red pickup truck.

Anyone who recognizes the suspect, his truck, or who has information regarding the robbery has been asked to contact Suffolk County Crime Stoppers by calling 1-800-220-TIPS or texting “SCPD” with the message to 274637.
